Our Video Editing Process
Our post production video editing process always begins with the story. Once we have a clear understanding of the story then we’ll know where the starting point is for the edit. Where the points of impact are, the emotion, the “aha” moments. Some projects are more formal, following a script and storyboard, while some are more organic, being developed from the footage that we’re provided. While there are some differences in the overall process, the core of our editing process is the same. Logging the footage, assembling a timeline, rough cut, refining cuts, then the final cut. Video Editing Environment
Most of our editing and post production work takes place in an Adobe environment (Premiere, After Effects). However, from time to time we’re asked to edit in systems familiar to our clients: Davinci Resolve, Final Cut, Avid. We maintain a large music and sound effects (SFX) bank which consists of custom sounds as well as royalty free stock. If we don’t have the sound that you’re looking for to accompany your edit we’ll make the sound that you’re looking for.
Online Video Review System
All of our editing work utilizes an online review system which enables clients to comment and add revision points directly to each edit on the timeline. As each comment/revision is resolved they are checked off in the system to ensure that nothing is missed. Once you’re happy with your edit, we’ll master for the various platforms required and send you your distribution packages.
