CASE STUDY:
BIG WHITE 60
The Challenge
In preparation for its 60th anniversary, Big White Ski Resort sought to create a compelling documentary that would not only honor its rich history but also celebrate the community, evolution, and culture that shaped the resort into the iconic destination it is today. The goal was to produce a long-form film that could serve as a timeless archive, while also resonating with modern audiences through a cinematic, emotionally engaging narrative.
Key challenges included:
- Capturing six decades of history in a cohesive, captivating format.
- Balancing archival content with fresh footage and interviews.
- Ensuring the tone reflected the resort’s spirit, family-friendly, adventurous, and community-driven.
- Working within a tight timeline leading up to anniversary celebrations and public screenings.
The Solution
Our creative and production teams partnered closely with Big White’s marketing and historical departments to deliver a one-hour and twenty-minute documentary that became the emotional centerpiece of their 60th anniversary.
The documentary not only celebrated a milestone but created a lasting legacy, a visual time capsule that will inform and inspire generations of skiers, snowboarders, and visitors to come.
